I get annoyed when the media beat up on misinformation.keep-calm-and-take-your-yasmin

Curse you media and your hyperbole about drosperinone containing contraceptives, such as Yasmin.
While it’s true Yasmin can cause blood clots, the risk is not a big one.

Medical director of Family Planning NSW Dr Cathy Bateson says these claims have been causing

“unnecessary anxiety.”

Dr Bateson says the absolute risk for most women is “very, very low”

Lower even than the risk associated with pregnancy or afterwards.

So no need to stress.
Keep calm and take your Yasmin.
